Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson says the team was “embarrassed” with the way they played against the Milwaukee Bucks on November 8 and that they were motivated to get revenge against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. on Friday.

The Warriors lost to the Bucks 134-111 at Oracle Arena last month. Klay Thompson said that game was in the back of the players' minds on Friday, and it helped them return the favor, as they edged out Milwaukee, 105-95, in their second and final regular-season meeting this year.

“We were embarrassed,” Thompson told reporters, via Ben Spratt of Sporting News. “We got smacked at home. That's never fun.”

“I thought we came out and played great tonight on both sides. Other than our high turnovers, we played amazing basketball. That's how I feel.”

Thompson scored 20 points on Friday against the Bucks to help the Warriors improve to 18-9 on the season. The sharpshooter played 35 minutes and shot 8-of-16 from the field, 4-of-9 from beyond the arc and also dished out six assists.

The Warriors are on a three-game winning streak and starting to look like the best team in the NBA again. The return of two-time MVP Stephen Curry has helped the team regain its swagger. Golden State is 3-1 since Curry returned to the lineup from his adductor strain.
