Klay Thompson praised the effort of teammate Kevin Durant, who drummed up a hair shy of a 50-point masterpiece in Monday's 116-110 win over the Orlando Magic. The Golden State Warriors trailed by as many as 18 points before they stormed back in the third quarter, putting the scoring load on Durant before Thompson's five fourth-quarter triples helped them catch up.

The marksman had this tall praise for the back-to-back Finals MVP:

“It's November and he plays like it's Game 5 of the Finals,” said Thompson, according to ESPN's Nick Friedell. “That's how much he cares and it's really driven us to go on this little win streak.”

Durant scored a bombastic 49 points with six rebounds, nine assists, two steals and two blocks in the win, playing 40 minutes much like Thompson, as the two Warriors All-Stars accounted for 67 percent of the scoring after playing without Stephen Curry and Draymond Green yet again.

The Warriors have now snapped out of a four-game losing streak to win three in a row against quality teams, now bracing for the longest road trip of their season, headlined by a matchup against the Toronto Raptors on Thursday.

“It's going to be a great test for us. And who knows? It might be a preview of June,” said Thompson. “They got something really special up there in Canada right now.”

The Raptors will be the first of five Eastern Conference teams the Warriors will see within the next two weeks, set to run it back at home on Dec. 12 when the Raptors come to Oracle Arena.
