Kevin Durant gave everyone quite the scare when he appeared to have injured his Achilles during the closing minutes of the third quarter. The Golden State Warriors superstar exited the game and headed straight to the locker room as everyone held their breath.
As such, Durant's incident elicited a blaze of reactions on Twitter.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Josh Hart, Portland Trail Blazers star CJ McCollum and Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell are just some of the players who offered prayers for Durant. The injury was thought to be a torn Achilles before the Warriors confirmed it was a right calf strain, though it still ruled KD out for the rest of the match.

Basketball analyst Stephen A. Smith quickly chimed in his thoughts on the series moving forward. Like most, he thought that Durant ruptured his Achilles.
OMG!!!! @KDTrey5 drills jumper then turns around and looks back s if someone kicked him. We know what that usually means: Ruptured Achilles. If it’s that, the @warriors just lost this series. And it will end in Houston on Friday night!

There's no update yet as to the gravity of Durant's injury. But it was a classy act among NBA players to put the competition aside to look out for the welfare of their colleagues.
Damn nobody wants to see that.

In the event that Durant misses a few games, then it'll be a big blow to the Warriors. After all, the Rockets have proven to be a dangerous foe. Though they still have Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and the rest who can fill the void, Durant's services are irreplaceable.
