The time is getting closer for the Golden State Warriors to unleash their talented center James Wiseman on the rest of the NBA. He’s in the final stages before returning to the court and has everyone excited, including superstar Stephen Curry.

After the Warriors blew out the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday, Curry talked about how Wiseman looked in their team scrimmages.

“It’s weird, it’s the rusty post-All-Star break scrimmage, where the overall game was pretty sloppy, but [Wiseman] had a lot of good energy and he got that put-back dunk,” Curry told ClutchPoints.

If you follow the Warriors closely, you’ve seen the dunk on social media that Curry talked about. The seven-footer is moving well and is all smiles in practice because he knows it’s almost that time.

“He's a beast when you look at him on the floor, especially with the rest of our team… He can do some amazing things,” Curry said. “It's just a matter of him getting comfortable and getting those reps. So that's a good step in terms of his come back.”

There have been rumors Wiseman could be back in action by early March, and Friday morning the Warriors assigned him to their G-League affiliate for extra scrimmage work. That’s a clear sign those rumors are true, so it’s safe to say we will see him sooner than later.

The Warriors are 43-17 for the season, good for the second-best record in the NBA. Adding Wiseman’s size and skill set will help them exponentially when facing top competition.
