Steve Kerr sung some praise for his star forward Kevin Durant when speaking of the Houston Rockets' switch-happy defense that has forced the Golden State Warriors into many isolation plays throughout the series.

“We're lucky we have Kevin because Kevin is the ultimate answer against switching defenses,” said Kerr, according to Melissa Rohlin of the San Jose Mercury News.

Durant has indeed proven the focal point of many of the Warriors' isolation plays, but that strategy has proved to be more harm than good over the last two games, with the lanky forward shooting under 38 percent from the field.

The 6-foot-11 gifted scorer has managed to go a perfect 37-of-37 from the foul line over the course of the series, but he's seen himself play heavy minutes (43 and 40 minutes) in Games 4 and 5, both of which turned into losses.

Durant might be the answer to switching defenses, but that might not be the solution they're ultimately looking for, but rather how to once again regain their efficiency and their identity as a team — ultimately looking like a team out of sorts, using whatever means possible to solve a riddle.

Durant's offensive barrage is nothing to scoff at, but due to his heavy toll at the offensive end, he's come short in many different aspects on the court, averaging a mere two assists per game, and only putting up two blocks and one steal in the entire series.
