Steve Kerr's biggest move in their Game 4 win against the Boston Celtics on Friday is without a doubt his decision to bench Draymond Green during a critical juncture in the fourth quarter. The Golden State Warriors head coach knew that Green wasn't playing his best and that despite his reputation, he just had to be benched.
That wasn't the only surprising decision Kerr made in their 107-97 win. Right before tip-off, the three-time NBA champion coach decided to replace Kevon Looney in the starting lineup in favor of Otto Porter Jr., who incidentally, was going to start for the first time in the postseason. This was all part of coach Kerr's master plan.
After the game, coach Kerr admitted that he made a mistake by not giving Looney enough time on the floor. He knew he had to rectify his error, and he did just that in Game 4.

“I didn’t play him enough in Game 3,” Kerr said, via Anthony Slater of The Athletic. “That was my mistake.”
Despite coming off the bench, Looney logged 28 minutes in Game 4. That's significantly more than the amount of time he played in Game 3, where he was on the floor for just 17 minutes. The Warriors center provided some key minutes for the second unit, and once again, coach Kerr proved how much of a tactical genius he truly is.
