The Golden State Warriors will be coming off nearly a full week's rest when they face off against the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night. Their opponents, on the other hand, just concluded an epic seven-game series against a relentless Miami Heat side and will have just three days off before battling the Warriors in Game 1.
For Dubs coach Steve Kerr, however, he does not think that his team holds an advantage because of their extended break. As a matter of fact, the three-time NBA champion coach believes that it's actually the Celtics who hold the advantage coming into the series:
“Sometimes you get through the gauntlet like that and you come out on the other side, you’re stronger for it,” Kerr said, via C.J. Holmes of the San Francisco Chronicle. “So once you get to this point and you get a fresh start, nothing else really matters. You’re here and you lay it on the line.”

Fair point from coach Kerr here. The Celtics have momentum on their side after taking out the Heat in their own home court in Game 7. The Warriors, on the other hand, could be a bit rusty following a rather lengthy layoff.
One thing you can say about the Warriors, though, is that they have been here in the past. This experience is going to be valuable for them, and coach Kerr surely won't let their week-long rest become an issue for the Dubs.
