Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant has reportedly yet to make a final decision on where he’ll play next season, but the Brooklyn Nets noise is legit, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
Durant is an unrestricted free agent this summer. The Nets are widely expected to sign Kyrie Irving and want Durant to follow the All-Star point guard to Brooklyn. The Nets have cap space to sign two max contract players this offseason.
The New York Knicks were once the favorite to land Durant, but while they still have hope, things have changed over the last few months leading up to free agency and nothing is guaranteed.

The Warriors can offer Durant the most money in free agency plus a fifth year on his deal. The two-time Finals MVP is expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season recovering from the Achilles tear he suffered in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
Despite the Achilles injury, Durant will still command a max contract on the open market. The Warriors will surely offer KD the full five-year max deal. The 2019 postseason showed the Dubs need Durant to win the title. The Warriors lost to the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals in six games.
