Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker has been announced as the replacement for New York Knicks power forward Kristaps Porzingis in the NBA All-Star Game, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.
Walker is the fourth injury replacement for Team LeBron after Porzingis suffered a torn ACL earlier this week.
Walker was rumored over the last few weeks to be on the trading block for the Hornets but the deadline came and went today and no deal got done.
This season, Walker is averaging 22.6 points and 5.8 assists in 51 games but the Hornets have not lived up to expectations and that's why there were a lot of reports that a trade could be made.
This year and the last have clearly been the best two seasons of Walker's career as he also made the All-Star Game last year.
