With only a day left before the trade deadline, the Charlotte Hornets might put all chips on board and make a move before the window closes. Among the biggest storylines in past weeks has been the team's willingness to move All-Star point guard Kemba Walker, one which hasn't escaped the mind of fans despite Michael Jordan's effort to do some damage control.

General manager Rich Cho once again emphasized the team is not shopping their floor general, but rather being diligent and listening to any incoming offer that comes with his name.

“We’re not shopping Kemba, but it’s our job to listen,” Cho said, according to Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer. “It would take something really great to move him. We love Kemba. He’s a great player, All-Star caliber.”

“It wouldn’t surprise me if we did do something, and it wouldn’t surprise me if we didn’t do something.”

The Hornets have been looking to move some of their massive contracts, if they are to trade Walker away, likely looking to package the likes of Nicolas Batum, Dwight Howard, and/or Michael Kidd-Gilchrist in the deal — hoping another team is willing to absorb such a fat bill with Walker as the pot sweetener.
Cho has been present for a line of questionable decisions and is likely his job is on the line if the team can't manager at least a good return if the front office trades Walker. While the chances are that he stays put with a somewhat meek market, everything is possible with teams looking for one last chance to become contenders.
