Lonzo Ball’s tenure in college lasted only a single season and was put to an end by the Kentucky Wildcats in the Sweet Sixteen. During his time with the UCLA Bruins, his stats were enough to make him an All-American. Any way you look at it, the Los Angeles Lakers guard's college stint worked out pretty well.
However, according to Ball, he would have passed over going to UCLA for a season if the JBA under his father’s supervision were an option back then.
The JBA held tryouts recently, where Ball is among those assessing talents. The Lakers rookie stated in an interview with Rashad Milligan of RollingOut.com that he would've gone the JBA route as opposed to UCLA since he already had a place assured with the NBA.

The JBA was founded by Lonzo's infamous father, Lavar Ball, so players can have another option other than playing ball in college, as well as making money without having to go overseas. Tryouts all over the nation have been held by the league, yet they remain unsuccessful in convincing recruits within the top 100 to not play ball in college for a year.
Although no one could know Ball’s ultimate decision, his preference for the JBA is expected. He’s trying his best to promote the league as well as recruit real talent. He could have acquired a contract with a top tier club if money was the bigger concern once he left high school.
