Los Angeles Clippers general manager Trent Redden is reportedly going to stay with the franchise after meeting with New Orleans Pelicans top executive David Griffin about a high-ranking front office job, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The Clippers have a very bright future and Redden apparently wants to stay in Los Angeles and help finish what he started.

The Clippers lost to the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the playoffs in six games. This summer, though, is going to be really exciting for the organization, as they have cap space to sign a star player in free agency.

Many around the league believe the Clippers will land Kawhi Leonard, who is from the California area and reportedly had the Clippers on his trade wish-list when he requested a trade from the San Antonio Spurs last summer.

There's just too much uncertainty with the Pelicans right now. Anthony Davis has requested a trade. The superstar big man and Griffin are expected to meet soon to discuss Davis' future.

Redden and Griffin worked together with the Cleveland Cavaliers. They helped bring Cleveland its lone championship back in 2016, when the Cavs defeated the Golden State Warriors in seven games.
