It has been a frustrating first season with the L.A. Clippers for veteran forward Danilo Ganillari that has been marred by injuries.

Gallinari has missed the last 18 games due to a partial tear in his left glute muscle after he made his return to the court for two straight appearances after a 13-game absence because of a right glute injury.

According to Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints, the 29-year-old voiced prior to Saturday's tilt against the Sacramento Kings that he isn't close to making his return to the court.

It has been nothing short of a difficult season for Gallinari as he has only appeared in 11 games where he has struggled to find any consistent rhythm averaging 13.4 points on career lows with 34.5 percent shooting from the field and 25.8 percent from beyond the arc. This includes shooting 40 percent or lower from the field in seven of those games.

Gallinari was able to register double figures eight times with one 20-point performance while hitting multiple 3-pointers on six occasions. His absence has left a sizable offensive void on a nightly basis that has pushed a larger workload in the process onto veteran guard Lou Williams and Blake Griffin.

However, the Clippers have been able to get by despite being hindered by numerous injuries this season sitting at a 21-21 record through the first 42 games. They are currently just a 1/2 game out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference while winning eight out of their last 10 games including the last four straight.

L.A. has dealt with significant injuries to Griffin, Gallinari, Austin Rivers, Milos Teodosic, and Patrick Beverley through various portions of the first half of the season. All-Star big man DeAndre Jordan is the latest to join that list as he is recovering from a sprained ankle that he suffered in Thursday's win over the Kings.
