The LA Clippers traded away fan favorite Patrick Beverley this past week, ending a five year run with the team. Beverley arrived in Los Angeles in the trade sending Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets. The trade marked the end of the Lob City Clippers and bridged the gap towards the next era of Clippers basketball featuring Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

Without Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams, and Montrezl Harrell setting the culture for the Clippers as a grind-it-out franchise, the Clippers don't land Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. It's as simple as that. Those three played a huge role in the arrival of the team's current superstars and their value to the franchise can't be understated.

During Beverley's time with the Clippers, he also had a handful of ruthless and savage moments that made him the fan favorite he is. Whether it was locking up bigger and stronger opponents or skying for an offensive rebound that gave his Clippers another chance to score, Beverley's impact will be hard to replace.

With that being said, here are Beverley's five most savage moment with the Clippers.

1. 2019 Playoffs – First Round – Warriors vs. Clippers

The 2019 Clippers earned a lot of respect from fans and the NBA alike for their fight. Despite not having a single All-Star on the team, the Clippers reached the postseason and took two games against the Kevin Durant-led Golden State Warriors. Patrick Beverley took this series more personal than anyone, and it showed with how he went at Durant seemingly every single possession.

Beverley and Durant got into it multiple times during the early portions of the series, including a double-ejection in Game 1 when Durant shoved Beverley and Beverley got back in his face.

Later in the series, Beverley felt Durant flopped to draw a foul and let him hear about it, jokingly of course. The two players shared a laugh over the incident.

In the end, it was nothing but respect from Patrick Beverley and Lou Williams towards Kevin Durant, who proved once again he was the greatest scorer in the world.

2. “The Next 5 Years Are Mine!”

Once the Clippers acquired Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, Patrick Beverley certainly started feeling himself. During a game between the Clippers and Warriors, Beverley reportedly told Stephen Curry that the next five years here his.

“You had the last five years,” Beverley told Curry, according to Sean Deveney of Heavy.com. “The next five years are mine.”

Curry laughed and replied: “Aren’t you 31?”

This is rumored to be the moment/play when Beverley told Curry this.

Little do people know that Patrick Beverley and Stephen Curry are actually close dating back to the high school and college days.

“Steph’s like a brother,” Beverley told ClutchPoints back in January 2020. “Freshman year in college, USA team, sophomore year, Paul Pierce camp, LeBron James camp, roommates. People don’t know, but we’ve been knowing each other since we were pups. It’s crazy.”

3. “Pat Bev Trick Y'all”

If there are two guys in the NBA who likely don't like each other, it's Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook.

During an early season game between the Clippers and Rockets during the 2019-20 season, Patrick Beverley was seen mocking Russell Westbrook's go-ahead shot, which bricked off the rim, during Paul George's clutch free throws.

Later in the season when James Harden dropped 47 points on the Clippers, fouling Patrick Beverley out in the process, Westbrook took another jab at Beverley.

There were other exchanges between Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook during his time with the Clippers, including this one back when Westbrook was a member of the OKC Thunder.

4. Chris Paul's flop goes wrong, Beverley mocks him

During the Clippers first ever Western Conference Finals appearance, things got unsurprisingly heated between Chris Paul and Patrick Beverley. During a play in Game 5, which was an elimination game for the Clippers, Paul tried to draw a shooting foul on Beverley. In the process, he flopped a little too hard and landed awkwardly on his back.

Beverley jumped around, flailed his arms, and laughed as he walked away from Paul, who was on the floor.

Another fun Beverley moment in the series was when the Clippers guard pulled out the ball-handling bag, crossing Chris Paul over and scoring at the rim.

5. Patrick Beverley Trolls Damian Lillard In Bubble

One of final ‘regular season' games in the Disney NBA bubble saw the LA Clippers take on the Portland Trail Blazers. Patrick Beverley trolled Damian Lillard during his two missed free throws in the clutch.

The pair of misses set the stage for Rodney McGruder to give the Clippers the lead with a three-pointer seconds later.

Seeing and hearing Beverley certainly had Lillard feeling some type of way postgame.

Honorable mention: After the Clippers blew a 3-1 lead to the Denver Nuggets, Patrick Beverley took to IG to show off his baking skills and joked that he saw everyone's Cancun's jokes.
