Since the Los Angeles Lakers completed their blockbuster trade for Luka Doncic over the weekend, there have been many photo edits of him in his new threads, but the Lakers posted the first pictures of him actually in the uniform on Wednesday, garnering a ton of excitement from the fanbase.

It might still feel like this is NBA 2k25 to some people, but this is real. Luka Doncic is a Los Angeles Laker, and he is expected to make his debut for the team as early as Saturday against the Indiana Pacers. He was introduced as a member of the organization on Wednesday in a press conference that was held with Rob Pelinka. It was a shocking trade, but the Lakers now pair him with LeBron James in the short term, and will build around Doncic for the next decade if things go well.

The Lakers were not done making moves ahead of the deadline as well, acquiring Mark Williams in a deal with the Charlotte Hornets. With Anthony Davis shipped out to the Mavericks in the deal for Doncic, a center was necessary, and the acquisition of Williams was one that made a lot of sense. It gives the Lakers a needed piece in the frontcourt, and a young 23-year-old to build with.

After sending Dalton Knecht to the Hornets in the Williams trade, the Lakers could use another shooter. There is still time to make another move ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline, but the Lakers have used most of their assets now. It will be interesting to see if there is another move coming, or if this is what the Lakers will go forward with for the rest of the season. Even if there is no other move, it is hard to not view the Lakers as winners of this deadline with the acquisition of Doncic.
