Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball of the Los Angeles Lakers turned a botched dunk by LeBron James into a highlight play for the ages.
From the clip posted by SportsCenter, Ball, James, and Kuzma were trying to orchestrate a fastbreak. As they approached the rim, Ball passed it to James who, as always, wanted to punish the rim.

LeBron James missed the dunk but thankfully, Kyle Kuzma was hanging around the paint. The ball went right into his hands for the offensive rebound. In one motion, he then gently tapped the rock to Lonzo Ball who was wide open under the rim for the two-handed flush, much to the Lakers bench's delight.

It was a rare dunk for Ball, who, according to analysts, is still a work in progress. Though he doesn't necessarily pad the stat sheets, James is aware of his Lakers teammate's contributions on the floor. Per David McMenamin of ESPN, James said of Ball:
“Sometimes he doesn’t realize how great he is,” James said after a 90-83 win over the Utah Jazz on Friday night at Staples Center. “The things that he possesses out on the floor, when Zo realizes how good he is on the floor, it makes him a very dynamic player and it makes us even better. And he’s been doing that as of late, [with] his aggressiveness.”
Lonzo Ball suffered a left ankle sprain in the first half and the Lakers went on to lose the game against the Denver Nuggets, 117-85.
