During an interview with Don Lemon of CNN, Miami Heat small forward Andre Iguodala reacted to President Donald Trump calling the NBA a “political organization.”

As expected, Iguodala fired back at Trump:

Andre Iguodala is a vice president of the National Basketball Players Association, so these strong words are no surprise coming from him.

Donald Trump bashed the NBA after the players decided to kneel during the national anthem. The commander in chief admitted on Thursday he wasn't familiar with the NBA's boycott plans following the tragic Jacob Blake shooting in Wisconsin, and he brought up low ratings and lamented the league becoming a “political organization.”

The Milwaukee Bucks initiated an NBA player strike on Wednesday after Blake was shot seven times in the back. Initially, there was talk about canceling the 2020 playoffs after the postponement of all games on Wednesday.

However, games will resume on Saturday after meetings over the last few days. There were some tense times as players and owners discussed what they wanted to do, but they came together and agreed on some new social justice initiatives.

Andre Iguodala and the Heat have already advanced to the second round of the 2020 playoffs. They are waiting for the Milwaukee Bucks to defeat the Orlando Magic in Game 5 of their first-round series so the second-round matchup is set between Milwaukee and Miami.

There aren't too many people in the NBA who care what Donald Trump has to say about the league. The NBA isn't losing sleep just because Trump isn't watching games.
