Miami Heat forward Bam Adebayo took the time to appreciate the work that his teammate in Jimmy Butler has done for their campaign thus far. After another win against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night, Adebayo claimed that he wanted Butler to continue to play like ‘JiMVP', the nickname that he previously gave to his veteran teammate, via Brendan Tobin.

Aside from Adebayo, Heat legend Dwyane Wade also anointed the newly-coined ‘JiMVP' moniker official when commentating on the team's highlights after the game.

Wade further showed his support to the five-time All-Star in his bid to be a potential dark horse candidate for this year's MVP race being led by LeBron James and Joel Embiid.

Analysts of FOX Sports Heat also took note of Butler's candidacy for the league's top individual award and the team's evident improvement, all thanks to Wade's tweet.

The Heat began the 2020-21 season with a sluggish start as they dealt with several injuries. In addition, Butler also missed significant action due to COVID-19 concerns back in January. His return from a three-week absence eventually sparked the turnaround for the Heat's campaign this season.

Butler's impact was immediately felt by the team with his averages of 21.7 points 7.5 rebounds, and 7.8 assists through 26 games played. Due to his immense production, they have successfully sprung back to life and already won 11 of their last 12 games en route to a 22-18 record. The Heat's latest triumph came against the Cavaliers on Tuesday night when Butler topped the team in scoring with 28 points and 12 rebounds for a 113-98 victory.

Their newfound resurgence has them further climbing up the standings as they currently sit on the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference as of late. The Heat will definitely be banking on the stellar production of their ‘JiMVP' in their quest to get back to the Finals.

If Jimmy Butler manages to keep this up for the remainder of their campaign, the Heat faithful can certainly expect to see his name be in contention for the MVP award this season.
