Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo admits Tyler Herro's injury really hurt the team in their series against the Boston Celtics.
Adebayo is not using it as an excuse for their 4-3 loss in the series, highlighting that they are a deep team that is used to going through adversity. However, the Heat big man did say that they really missed what Herro provides as an offensive boost off the bench.
“He’s our spark off the bench, so I feel like he would have made a big difference,” Adebayo said of Herro, via House of Highlights. “He’s our spark off the bench. He can get it going in a hurry. We missed that aspect. But like I said, we fought through adversity before. We fought being No. 1 in the East with a whole bunch of guys out and still staying No. 1 in the East.”
Tyler Herro suffered a groin injury in the series against the Celtics, forcing him to miss three straight contests (from Games 4 to 6). The Heat went 1-2 in those matches, with their two defeats ending in huge blowouts.

The 22-year-old sharpshooter returned in Game 7, but it was quite clear he was not at 100 percent. He ended up playing just around seven minutes, failing to score even a single point while making just one assist and committing one turnover.
Miami has certainly proven that they are a powerhouse team in the East. Hopefully though, Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler and the rest of the Heat get healthier in their next trip to the postseason.
