Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade has weighed in on Chris Bosh's jersey retirement. Naturally, Wade's message was congratulatory in nature:
Congrts my brother. I’m thankful that you chose us! https://t.co/tFUcfPmizZ

The Heat announced Monday that the organization will retire Bosh's No. 1 jersey. This will be done during a halftime ceremony against the Orlando Magic on March 26.
Chris Bosh joined the Heat with LeBron James during the summer of 2010. They teamed up with Wade to form their Big 3, and they went on to win two NBA titles out of four tries in the Finals.
Bosh's NBA career abruptly ended during the 2015-16 season because of blood clots. While he has worked hard in an attempt to make a return, it doesn't look like it's in the cards.
The likely future Hall of Famer averaged 18.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 49.4 percent from the field and 33.5 percent from beyond the arc during his Heat career.

Even though it's sad and unfortunate how Bosh had to leave basketball, this honor is well-deserved. Bosh meant so much to the Heat organization and was able to bring them a ton of success. While he was always in the shadow of Wade and LeBron, Bosh was just as important.
Wade is also retiring this season, so the Heat will be retiring his No. 3 jersey next. He has gone throughout the league and exchanged jerseys with players from other teams during his retirement tour.
