The Miami Heat announced on Monday the franchise is going to retire Chris Bosh's No. 1 jersey in a ceremony on March 26 during halftime of their matchup against the Orlando Magic.

Bosh played 384 games with the Heat, but his NBA career came to a tragic end when blood clots forced him to step away from the game during the 2015-16 season.

The Heat are one of the classiest organizations in all of sports, so it's not a surprise they are honoring Bosh.

Bosh won two championships with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade in South Beach. The 11-time All-Star had career Heat averages of 18.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists.

Bosh is going to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer one day. The fourth overall pick in the legendary 2003 Draft averaged 19.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists during his playing career while shooting 49.4 percent from the field, 33.5 percent from beyond the arc and 79.9 percent from the free-throw line.

It's really unfortunate how Bosh's NBA career ended, but the most important thing is that he's healthy and spending time with his family.聽Bosh will become the fourth Heat player to have his jersey retired, joining Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway and Shaquille O鈥橬eal. Wade, of course, will join that list when he retires after this season.
