The Miami Heat lost in humiliating fashion to the Milwaukee Bucks by a score of 120-119. A Jrue Holiday game-winner punctuated a devastating road defeat. Although Tyler Herro went off on his hometown team — tallying a game-high 30 points, seven rebounds and five assists — it wasn't enough for Miami.

The loss came down to the wire. As the Heat looked to inbound the ball late in the game to Jimmy Butler, it was broken up by Giannis Antetokounmpo, causing a jump ball. The Greek Freak won the tip, allowing Holiday to cruise down the court and hit the game-winning shot.

Although Antetokounmpo seemingly went for the ball and didn't make any unruly contact with Butler, Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra was shocked that it wasn't called a foul. Via Steve Megargee of the Associated Press:

“I’m not going to go on a big rant about the officiating and all that,” Spoelstra said. “I’m just shocked. I’m shocked that wasn’t a foul on Jimmy as we were trying to inbound. We certainly had some other opportunities to be able to close out the game, particularly when we were up four. That’s just the way it goes. I have not looked at that. I just can’t imagine from my vantage point how that wasn’t a foul.”

A foul call on Antetokounmpo might have changed the game but it wouldn't have overshadowed the Heat's disastrous fourth quarter. They surrendered a 14-point lead and offered minimal resistance to Holiday on his game-winning attempt.

The loss stings for the Heat but it's not the end of the world. They are still the top seed in the Eastern Conference and could welcome Victor Oladipo back to the lineup soon.
