The Miami Heat took care of business on Monday night, defeating the Sixers, 106-92, to draw first blood in their second-round series. Miami did this without star point guard Kyle Lowry, who is currently dealing with a lingering hamstring injury. It has now been confirmed that the Heat will be without Lowry yet again for Game 2.

This report comes via NBA insider Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports:

Miami Heat say Kyle Lowry will be out of Game 2 tomorrow against the Philadelphia 76ers with a hamstring injury.

Lowry's injury is serious enough for the Heat to rule him out well over 24 hours before the game. The 36-year-old veteran tweaked his hamstring in Game 3 of the Heat's first-round matchup against the Hawks. Lowry missed the next two games of that series and he is now set to sit out his fourth consecutive game. His next chance to suit up will be on Friday for Game 3 when the series shifts to Philadelphia.

It is worth noting that the Sixers are coming into Game 2 shorthanded as well. Joel Embiid is currently in the league's concussion protocol and he too missed the opening contest on Monday. The MVP frontrunner, however, could be available for Game 3.
