Tyler Herro's emergence for the Miami Heat has been one of the driving factors behind their fantastic emergence this season. The Heat practically have All-Star caliber production off the bench with their 22-year-old.
This season, Herro is averaging 20.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists while shooting 44.0 percent from the field and 38.4 percent from deep. As one of Miami's best scorers and a Sixth Man of the Year candidate, it feels almost inevitable that he will remain in South Beach. That would come at a very tall price for the Heat.
According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, Herro could be close to the rookie maximum extension, though he might be offered something closer to what 2021 All-Star Jaylen Brown got.

The Heat can extend Herro this summer. After his breakout season, it would be very peculiar for them not to. Fischer added that the Heat might trade Herro if the right star becomes available. This would make sense as to why Miami would move on from him, though they would be wise not to move him just yet unless a top-five-caliber player becomes available.
Herro has been a big part of the Heat's success since day one and his role has only increased. As their premier perimeter scorer and backup, he plays a very important role alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, who score most of their points on the inside.
