“It all started from being that young kid that got a chance to get into the arena to see one of his favorite players.” @DwyaneWade says Vince Carter inspired him to do chin-ups before games.

Carter retired from the NBA this season, completing a Hall of Fame career filled with awesome dunks and several All-Star selections. Both Carter and Wade will be first-ballot Hall of Famers one day.
As most basketball observers know, Wade is the best player in Heat franchise history. He finished his NBA career with averages of 22.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists with the Heat, Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Chicago native won three NBA titles with the Heat and was the 2006 Finals MVP after Miami defeated the Dallas Mavericks in six games.
The fashion in which Wade ended his NBA career is the stuff of legends. Flash recorded a triple-double in his last game against the Brooklyn Nets with his best friends courtside. LeBron James, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony made the trip to the Barclays Center to watch Wade play his final game in the NBA in 2018-19.
The Heat retired Wade's No. 3 jersey this 2019-20 campaign. He's universally recognized as the third-best shooting guard in NBA history behind Michael Jordan and the late Kobe Bryant.
As for Carter, he averaged 16.7 points, 4.3 boards and 3.1 assists during his career, which started all the way back in 1998. It's incredible he retired after Wade, but Vinsanity took care of his body and always put his ego to the side towards the end of his NBA run.
