The Miami Heat held a heartfelt ceremony to honor and retire the number of longtime legend Dwyane Wade on Saturday night, and Wade's son, Zaire, shared a short but sweet message for his dad:
“Pops, man! Main man, big bro. Proud of you dog, getting that jersey retired. Know we've been talking about this for a long time. Finally did it! Congratulations, see you soon,” the junior Wade said.

Prior to Dwyane's final regular-season home game as a Heat player in 2019, Zaire made a tribute video to his dad that recreated one of Dwyane's more iconic commercials:

Wade won three titles and made 13 All-Star Games during his tenure with Miami. The jersey retirement ceremony was part of a three-night dedication to Wade's accomplishments, culminating in a documentary that will air Sunday night on ESPN. Wade largely devoted his speech Saturday to his late friend Kobe Bryant, including his example as a father:
“He mastered basketball, he mastered being an amazing father, he mastered being a husband, he mastered being a creator,” Wade said, per ESPN. “He was showing us the way, and now we don't have that. So I do have a responsibility to be that guy and show the way for the next generation.”
Zaire is a 6-foot-3 point guard at Sierra Canyon High School in Los Angeles, where he's a teammate with LeBron James' son, Bronny James. Zaire is a three-star prospect, per 247Sports. He has still yet to declare where he'll be playing college ball next year.
