The Miami Heat might get their All-Star center back in Game 3. Their injured big man extraordinaire Bam Adebayo said he'll be ready to play on Sunday.

Shortly after the Heat dropped their second straight game against LA, 114-124, to fall 2-0 in their best-of-seven NBA Finals affair, Adebayo bared his intent to help his team in the pivotal third game.

“Yes, I believe I’ll be in the lineup,” the one-time All-Star shared, per Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.  “I’m feeling better. I believe I’ll play.”

Bam Adebayo's overall impact was sorely missed by Miami on Friday, as the Lakers' own superstar big Anthony Davis pretty much feasted against their frontline.

Without Bam to help slow down AD, The Brow put up 32 points and 14 rebounds. The Lakers' other superstar LeBron James added to their woes, pitching in 33 markers, nine rebounds, and nine assists.

Jimmy Butler tried to hold the fort for Miami with 25 points, 13 assists, and eight rebounds, but it's quite evident that the Heat needs Adebayo to stand a chance against the mighty Lakers.

The 23-year-old bruiser was forced to watch from the sidelines, as his team was simply outmatched by the Purple and Gold for the entire 48 minutes.

“We’ve got to play with a level of desperation,” Adebayo said of his team after the game. “That’s what I see. We’ve got to be a desperate team and come out with a lot of energy from the jump. I’m confident we can turn things around.”

Adebayo left Game 1 versus the Lakers after re-aggravating his shoulder injury. Heat starting point guard Goran Dragic also injured his left foot during the series opener. Unlike Bam who appears good to go, Dragic's status for the rest of the series remains uncertain.

Game 3, meanwhile, will be crucial for the Heat considering no team in history has ever come back from a 3-0 hole. With Adebayo possibly in the line-up on Sunday, Erik Spoelstra's wards might have a chance to make this a series.
