Bad news for Heat fans today as Chris Bosh officially announced to the team on Friday that he will not be able to return to play in the NBA playoffs.
Wade just revealed Bosh spoke to the Heat today about the playoffs. "He doesn't have the ability to be in it," Wade said.

Bosh announced in February that a blood clot had formed in his calf that had kept him out of participating in All-Star weekend and ultimately led to him missing the back half of the regular season. There had been previous reports that he might be able to return for this season.
Goran Dragic expressed his concern for Bosh and his importance to the team:

Even if he's not going to play, his ability to talk to the players, to show what you're doing wrong or how you're supposed to do it, it's big time.”
Unfortunately, this isn't the first time the Heat's All-Star power forward has had to miss time for blood clots. He sat out much of last season with a similar condition when doctors found life-threatening blood clots in his lungs.
Leading up to his injury, Bosh had been a key part of Miami's success. In 53 games, CB4 averaged 19.1 points and 7.4 rebounds in just over 33 minutes per game.
While the Heat have still been able to finish the year strong without him, there's no doubt that they would like to see their starting power forward back and healthy.
