Dwyane Wade is back to manufacturing highlight plays in South Beach. In just his second game back in Miami Heat uniform since being traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Wade recorded a rim-rattling dunk that should be good enough for a poster during the first quarter of Tuesday night’s road game against the Toronto Raptors.
Showing his veteran savvy on the basketball court, Wade perfectly executed a fake give-and-go play that bought him enough time to get away from the sticky defense of Toronto swingman CJ Miles. Raptors center Jakob Poeltl was ready to meet Wade midair, but changed his mind in the last second, opting to steer clear of the future Hall of Famer’s way. Otherwise, he would have been in a poster right now.
Clearly, Dwyane Wade is back to being Dwyane Wade. Miami fans must be feeling a mix of nostalgia and immense excitement to see Wade do stuff like that again in a Heat uniform.

Wade was part of Cleveland’s trade deadline fire sale last Thursday, as he was shipped to Miami in exchange for a heavily protected future second-round pick.
Although he is now 36-years-old with a body that has been ravaged by so many injuries, Wade could still be a valuable piece for a Heat team that is looking to strengthen their bid for a playoff spot. Miami is currently sitting in a precarious place in the Eastern Conference standings, as the Heat are occupying the eighth spot in the conference with a 30-26 record entering the Toronto game.
On the season, Wade is putting up 11.0 points, 3.5 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game.
