Teams competing in the 2020 NBA Playoffs have grappled with how best to proceed after police in Kenosha, Wisconsin shot an unarmed black man named Jacob Blake over the weekend.

The Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics met to discuss boycotting Game 1 of their second-round series, and they were reportedly supposed meet again on Wednesday night.

It seemed this was a major development, though the Milwaukee Bucks had another thing in store on Wednesday afternoon.

The Bucks were supposed to take the floor for Game 5 of their first-round series against the Orlando Magic. But with less than 10 minutes until tip-off, the Magic were the only team on the court. Minutes later, it was confirmed the Bucks were boycotting.

This latest incident of police violence hits close to home for Milwaukee, but it has been a source of pain and frustration for players around the NBA.

Blake had been mediating a physical conflict when police arrived on the scene and tried to make an arrest. Blake attempted to get back into his car but got shot in the back in front of his kids. He's paralyzed from the waist down.

The shooting has led to a number of protests, and an Illinois teen has been arrested after two people were killed  Wednesday night in Kenosha.

Milwaukee will not play on Wednesday. Other teams are already following suit.
