On Sunday, top draft prospect Jaren Jackson Jr. had an exclusive workout with the Phoenix Suns. Based on what Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN is reporting, it appears as though Jackson has blown the Suns’ minds away with his talent showcase.

Sources: Jaren Jackson Jr., had a monster workout for Suns on Sunday, and continues to be the long-term prospect those outside Top 4 are working to move up and select in draft. Offers to Sacramento, Atlanta and Memphis may become increasingly aggressive between now and June 21.

As implied by Wojnarowski, Jackson has shown enough upside for the Suns to have at least a brush with the idea of trading down in the draft while collecting a new asset in the process.

As for Jackson, being a “monster” on the court is a label that isn’t new to him, as he’s always heard that description so often attached to him back in his days in East Lansing. In his first and only season for the Michigan State Spartans, the 6-foot-11 Jackson was able to compile averages of 10.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 3.0 blocks in 35 games (34 starts). He also shot 51.3 percent from the field and displayed a great touch from distance with a 39.6 percent shooting from behind the arc, making 1.1 of 2.7 3-point attempts per outing.

Still, Jackson remains a dark horse to be this year’s No. 1 overall pick with the likes of DeAndre Ayton, Luka Doncic, and Marvin Bagley III all expected to be taken before him,

The 2018 NBA Draft will be held on June 21 in Brooklyn.
