As the NBA season winds down, Dwyane Wade’s time in the league does as well. With the legendary guard retiring at the end of the year, John Legend and Gatorade have teamed up to release a tribute video to the player.
The video is similar to other tribute videos, with the montage going through the many career accomplishments of Wade, and various off the court triumphs, including his relationship with his children and wife. The video is set to music, with Legend singing a variation of the Schoolhouse Rock classic “Three is a Magic Number.”

A no doubt Hall of Fame, Wade will finish with somewhere around 22 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game. The superstar also has won three NBA Championships, an NBA Finals MVP, and three Olympic medals (one of which is gold).
As Wade prepares for retirement, he’ll try and give the Miami Heat and their fans one last playoff run, as the team is currently battling with the Charlotte Hornets and Detroit Pistons with the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Heat are scheduled to play the Philadelphia Sixers tonight, and the Brooklyn Nets tomorrow, so the Heat will be in a tough situation if they want to make it into the playoffs. However, as we've seen in the past, Wade has the ability to carry his team through the toughest of challenges, so we'll see if he's up to the task and if he's able to rally the Heat.
