In light of Kevin Durant's free agency meetings, which lasted the entire 4th of July weekend, people began posting old tweets and comments that Durant made in the past.

Comments were posted and made about old tweets, such as one stating that he wouldn't team up with other stars for the sake of competition, to lament his decision.

On Monday, someone dug up his old account from BlackPlanet, a social media site used long before Twitter or Facebook came around.

That account was from Durant way back in 2004.  That account's username was ima_warrior. This is no relation to which team he chose to sign with in free agency, but it's sort of prophetic given his new franchise.

Some people were amused with the account, but it's amazing the lengths some went to, scouring the internet trying to find any and every piece of information they could on Durant before he finally decided to choose a team.

One interesting note from the site at the time where Durant was about 16, is that he claimed to be 6'10”. This has been somewhat of a controversy for Durant, who came into the league listed at 6'9″. Recently, Durant took a picture with members of the Olympic team and appeared to be taller than a listed 6'11” DeMarcus Cousins.

While the hunt must've been fun, or done out of pure boredom, it had no effect on Durant's decision whatsoever.
