The Sacramento Kings are a young and exciting team in the Western Conference, but the injury bug has hurt their playoff push so far. It may not be surprising to learn that due to injuries to key players, the Kings find themselves positioned 12th in the conference standings. And with all of the noise surrounding Bogdan Bogdanovic, the Kings may be compelled to make a trade for him.

According to The Athletic's Sam Amick, the Kings' second-unit scorer is one of the names that would likely be traded before the trade deadline is over. The Lakers are reportedly fawning over the guard and have made inquiries about his availability. Given his production and the number of solid guards in the Kings roster, it's easy to see why the Lakers would be interested in making a swap.

However, the Kings revealed that teams interested in his services would have to give up a lot in order to get Bogdan. They consider the sharpshooter, who is currently averaging 38% from beyond the arc, as an important part of their playoff push. They will not want to part ways with a player they consider to be a vital piece to their playoff aspirations.

However, elimination from the playoff race may convince the Kings to cash in on Bogdanovic. The Kings' young core has only played for a combined 49 minutes over the course of six games. If they see themselves out of the playoff picture early, they might consider parting ways with Bogdan.

They are reportedly not interested in a Bogdanovic trade for Kyle Kuzma, though. Given how they have a young forward of their own in Marvin Bagley III, having Kuzma will only stunt his growth.

Bogdanovic himself has said that he simply wants to win but is not averse to committing his future to the Kings. With a mouth-watering stat line of 14.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.6 assists a game, it may not be long until another team swoops him up instead.
