Want to meet the greatest fan in all of the NBA?
This is Jim Goldstein. He’s been at more than 100 games this season alone, always donning the same leather pants, boots, and cowboy hat to stand out from whatever crowd he’s chosen to join. Doing so has allowed him to make a pretty special bond with the players, the coaches, and the NBA as a whole.
Here, he answers a couple questions about what he’s learned from his copious experience watching games from court side seats.
Q: Favorite NBA player
A: Jamal Crawford with the Clippers is certainly one of my top players. I've always enjoyed him no matter what team he's playing for because he has amazing moves. I love the way he plays the game…. and a great guy as well.

Q: What was Kobe’s final game like?
A: I was sitting courtside, as always. There was some Kobe toy in a bag in front of my seat when I arrived, but I left it there. For LA it was pretty unusual. Everybody arrived one hour before the game started which is unheard of in LA. People with season tickets who hadn't attended games all year showed up for that game. (Jack) Nicholson showed up. That was unusual. He'd only been to about four games this season.
Q: Favorite arena?
A: I really enjoy going to the games in Oklahoma City. The arena is nice, the fans are great, everybody is really nice to me. I'd have to consider that No. 1.
Q: His opinion on other sports
A: Over the years I realized that NBA basketball was so superior to me than other sports that I dropped out. I consider myself an NBA specialist.
