Despite the several contracts doled out today in both the NFL and the NBA, the one news story that has taken precedent over them all was the O.J. Simpson hearing and the consequent granting of his parole, allowing him to walk free as soon as Oct. 1.

Players from both leagues chimed in before, during, and after the hearing — ranging from supportive to sarcastic responses to his hearing, including this interesting choice of tie for one of the members.
