The Detroit Pistons will be without Reggie Jackson for at least the next four weeks as a result of a stress reaction in his locker back, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The expectation is that the Pistons will continue to bring Derrick Rose off the bench because he remained in that role during the previous games that Jackson was inactive. They are projected to start Tim Frazier at the point guard spot.

It is important to note that Frazier is currently questionable to play against the Brooklyn Nets and Bruce Brown could start in his place if he is ruled out, according to Rod Beard of The Detroit News. There is a possibility that Svi Mykhailiuk could receive an increase in playing time in that situation as well.

The Pistons were already playing Jackson on a minutes restriction as he was coming off an ankle injury. He was limited to an average of 17.9 minutes in his two appearances and averaged 5.0 points (36.4% FG, 20% 3P, 100% FT), 2.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists.

Managing to stay healthy was an issue for Jackson during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons as he missed a combined 67 regular-season games during that period. However, he is coming off a season that featured him managing to appear in all 82 of the Pistons' games.

There may not be much need for an adjustment from the Pistons given that Jackson has not been able to play much this season. Their playoff hopes will likely need to be kept alive by the contributions of veterans like Andre Drummond and Rose.
