The Oklahoma City Thunder got a major boost ahead of their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, as All-Star forward Paul George is available to play and will start.

George was a game-time decision for the showdown at Target Center after he missed the Thunder's past three games due to a right shoulder soreness.

OKC lost two of their past three games with Paul George in the sidelines, so his return is a timely boost for a team looking to climb up the standings in the ultra-tough Western Conference.

The Thunder are currently third in the West with a 39-24 record entering Tuesday's match-up. They are three games behind the second-seeded Denver Nuggets and five away from the top-ranked Golden State Warriors.

George has been pivotal for OKC on both ends of the floor, and he is expected to turn things around for the Thunder as they look to string wins again. Oklahoma has not won back-to-back matches since their four-game winning streak in early February.

The team has also lost four of their six games since the All-Star break.

George is one of the favorites to win the MVP and Defensive Player of the Year awards. He is currently putting up 28.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game while shooting 44.8 percent from the field and 39.8 percent from deep.
