The FIBA World Cup is set to start this weekend, and as Team USA strives to once again come away as the winner, the Americans now know what teams they’ll be playing when group play kicks off on Sunday. The schedule for the team’s group has been revealed, and now fans know what teams the USA will have to get through in order to advance.

Team USA finds itself in Group E for pool play, and is grouped next to the Czech Republic, Japan, and Turkey. All teams will play each other once, and the top two teams in the group will advance into the second round of the World Cup. Team USA’s schedule is as follows:

Sunday, September 1: USA vs. Czech Republic, 8:30 a.m. EST

Tuesday, September 3: USA vs. Turkey, 8:30 a.m. EST

Thursday, September 5: USA vs. Japan, 8:30 a.m. EST

Fans looking to watch the action will have to be up fairly early to do so, as all three games start at 8:30 a.m. EST. Thankfully that isn’t extremely early, though, and it shouldn’t be too hard to catch some of the action. Despite a shocking exhibition loss to Australia earlier this month, Team USA still stands a fairly good chance at coming away as the winners of the FIBA World Cup.

After a rocky start that featured tons of players dropping out of play, Team USA finalized its roster last week, and the Greg Popovich led team will be looking to Kemba Walker, Donovan Mitchell, and Marcus Smart – its three captains – for big contributions once group play begins on Sunday.
