Portland Trail Blazers superstar CJ McCollum doesn't appear to be a huge fan of the proposed NBA plans for a return to the season. More on that in a second.

Times are crazy in the NBA right now.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2019-20 campaign was suspended back in mid-March and has yet to return. The league is attempting to bring the season back and has set July 31 as a target date, but there are still a lot of loose ends that need to be tied.

Like deciding which teams will actually play, for example.

The NBA is going over numerous different scenarios of how things will play out if and when the season does return, but one thing we do know is that the games will probably be played at a neutral location in Disney World with no fans in attendance.

That means home-court advantage is out the window, so the upper echelon clubs are looking for other edges. Dave McMenamin of ESPN is reporting that some alternatives being discussed are extra possessions, extra coach challenges and getting first dibs on picking a team hotel on site.

Well, Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum isn't too pleased with those possibilities:

McCollum's Blazers are currently on the outside of the playoff picture in the Western Conference, sitting three-and-a-half games behind the Memphis Grizzlies for eighth place.

Obviously, Portland was not going to get home-court advantage, so McCollum's comments may ring a bit hollow. A fan on Twitter even mentioned that the Blazers should be happy they even have a shot to get into the playoffs:

If the NBA does return this season, there is really no way to make things entirely fan. Someone is going to get the short end of the stick no matter what, so McCollum and others will just have to find a way to deal with that reality.
