Ice baths are good for the body, but they are tough to get into, as evidenced by Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum. In a video uploaded to Instagram by David Alexander, McCollum had a hard time dropping all the way into an ice bath following a workout.

McCollum is in San Clemente, California for the Dwyane Wade Invitational, and his struggle looks all too real for anyone who has ever had to take a dip into an ice bath.

Although McCollum struggled to drop in at first, he eventually stepped up and fully submerged into the tub. McCollum posted a video to his Instagram while he was in the tub and said: “But this is what it takes. Whatever it takes.”

McCollum had a hard time with the ice bath, but he was in good company. Wade really took his time getting in and dragged his feet all the way into the tub. It's one of those things where guys know that the ice bath is good for them, but it doesn't make that freezing cold ice water any easier.

Wade's camp includes a number of NBA stars. Justise Winslow, Jimmy Butler, Jahlil Okafor, and Donovan Mitchell were all in attendance in addition to Wade and McCollum. These are the kinds of offseason programs where guys around the league can come together to try and improve their game by learning from their peers.

Especially for the younger players, training with D-Wade is an excellent opportunity to learn from a champion and a future Hall of Famer — even if you have to endure a few ice baths here and there.
