The Toronto Raptors had all but blown out the Brooklyn Nets by the third quarter of their 120-87 win, meaning the Raptors starters no longer had any reason to be on the court in the fourth. But Kyle Lowry was still one rebound shy of his second triple-double of the season.
Raptors coach Dwane Casey generously gave his star point guard the chance to hunt for that triple-double in the fourth quarter, but Casey revealed that Lowry was very much on the clock.
"He had two minutes," Casey said of Lowry triple double hunting in fourth.

Lowry eventually did grab that elusive rebound within Casey's time limit, and even had around half a minute to spare. He committed a foul not too long after getting the rebound to take himself out of the game for good. Lowry’s final line was 10 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, with four steals in just 31 minutes of work.
Although Lowry still hasn’t been scoring much – he’s topped 20 points just once in seven games this month while shooting 35 percent from the field – he’s still been contributing in other facets of the game like rebounding and assists. His triple-double should also feel good following a rough three-game stretch where he shot under 30 percent from the field.
Lowry will have another chance to go hunting for another triple-double when the Raptors take on the Sacramento Kings on Sunday.
