The San Antonio Spurs have been the most consistently successful franchise in the NBA over the last 20 years, and it's not even close. They’ve reached the playoffs in each of those 20 years and barring a complete collapse, they’re set to make it 21 this year. If so, that would be tied for the second-longest streak in NBA history.

However, the Spurs’ amount of days with a losing record is arguably the more impressive stat in terms of depicting just how remarkably consistent the Spurs have been over the last two decades, especially in comparison to the rest of the league.

It’s mind-boggling to think that the Spurs have not even spent two months with a losing record over the course of the last 20 years while the next closest teams have had over a couple years' worth. That’s just a testament to the work Gregg Popovich and the organization as a whole have done to establish such a culture of winning.

The fact that they’ve managed to churn out wins even with superstar Kawhi Leonard missing over a quarter of this season is yet another proof of this machine-like consistency.

Like all things, this run of winning will have to come to an end at some point. When it does, though, their 20-plus year run should forever be remembered as one of the most amazing stretches in professional sports history.
