Carmelo Anthony and the Oklahoma City Thunder suffered yet another mind-boggling loss on Monday.
That one was at the hands of the Charlotte Hornets, who trounced the Thunder to the tune of a 13-point win.
Anthony scored only 11 points in the entire game, and played 34 minutes. So when the game was done, naturally the media wanted to know what happened.
But Anthony was nowhere to be found after the game. He had left the locker room early, leaving people in the media wondering whether he left because he didn't want to discuss the loss.

Anthony, however, gave a much different explanation as to why he was nowhere to be found after the game. He said he was speaking with his son via FaceTime, per Erik Horne of the Oklahoman.

Several NBA players make a habit of ducking out on the media after a bad loss because they don't want be bombarded with questions about why they or the team played so poorly or why they lost to a particular team. They do this even though they have contractual obligations to be available to the media.
But I think in this case, Anthony deserves the benefit of the doubt. He probably doesn't get to be around his son very often, so FaceTime is probably all they have.
