The Oklahoma City Thunder nearly executed a perfect road trip after impressive wins over the formidable Indiana Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers. However, it was ultimately spoiled by their 111-96 loss to a New York Knicks team that was without their best player in budding superstar center Kristaps Porzingis.
It was just the latest example of the struggles Oklahoma City has experienced thus far in the 2017-18 NBA season. That said, superstar forward Carmelo Anthony feels the team is still relying on its star-studded talent while everyone continues to figure out their roles, according to Moke Hamilton of the USA Today:
“That’s what we have to figure out,” he said. “We have to nail down the roles that we all have on this team. I think until we kinda figure that part out, we will continue having these ups and downs, having good games and bad games, relying just on our talent.”

As with any “Big 3,” there is always an expected adjustment period for the players still getting accustomed. Needless to say, it has taken the Thunder a bit longer to figure out than they may have hoped for.
As a result, the frustration has clearly started to boil over the with the Thunder now back under .500. Fortunately, there is still plenty of time to work it out by the time playoffs start to roll around.
