The Oklahoma City Thunder have a two-game winning streak going following wins over the Minnesota Timberwolves and the San Antonio Spurs. Carmelo Anthony was conspicuously quiet in both games, as he totaled just 18 points and 17 shots in both games, the fourth most on the team.
Great note from @MicahAdams13: Carmelo Anthony scored in single-digits in consecutive games for the first time in his career against the Wolves and Spurs.

Melo believes the team is still adjusting to figure out how they want to play, and he says he’s ready to do whatever is asked of him as long as the team continues winning.
“We're still trying different things out there,” he said. “For me, personally, it's just about doing something different. Seeing where the team really needs me on a night-to-night basis, and just be willing to do that and being willing to sacrifice. Not every night I have to score 20 to 30 points, and I'm good with that. It's a good feeling as long as we're winning.”

While Anthony has said the right things in terms of sacrificing for the good of the team, it’s still worth monitoring whether he does ultimately follow through and accepts taking a reduced role on the Thunder's offense long-term. History has shown that those adjustments are usually hard things for former superstars to deal with.
However, it is worth noting that Anthony has already bought into playing power forward full-time after years of resistance in New York. Perhaps the older and wiser Melo really is ready to take a back seat offensively, if it does help solve the Thunder’s woes and leads to more winning, which he hasn't done a lot of in his career.
