The Oklahoma City Thunder really should be 9-7 instead of 7-9 right now.

But they’ve lost back-to-back games to the San Antonio Spurs and the New Orleans Pelicans, games they really should've won after they held — and gave up — leads of 19 or more points.

That tendency to give up big leads is quickly becoming an all-too-frequent occurrence for the Thunder, who have now surrendered a double-digit lead in six of their nine losses this year.

It’s no surprise to see the Thunder going through some growing pains as their three stars, Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Carmelo Anthony, adjusting to playing with one another. Given some more time, they should be able to find more of a comfort zone with one another.

Westbrook, in particular, is still yet to find a groove this season. The reigning MVP is in the midst of a horrific shooting slump, hitting just 35 percent from the field in November. His struggles have been a significant factor why the Thunder have been unable to close teams out after building up a big lead.

Thunder head coach Billy Donovan and his staff need to find a way to get their superstar going in order to avoid giving up any more big leads.
