Paul George has put his name in the conversation among some of the best three-point shooters of this NBA season, recently invited to take part in the All-Star Weekend's Three-Point Contest alongside some familiar names.
The Oklahoma City Thunder guard will have to take out the likes of Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, former champion Klay Thompson, and defending champion Eric Gordon if he hopes to win the crown, but he noted no trash-talk will be needed this time.
“No, not really. It's all for fun, we all wanna win,” said George when asked if there is any trash talk going around between contestants. “You let your talk be done out there once you're out in the act of shooting.”
“Hopefully you win it. That's enough trash talking you need right there.”

George hasn't been known as a trash-talker, as his former boss, Larry Bird once infamously said, according to Michael Cooper's recollection — “I hope all you guys in here are thinking about second place, because I’m winning this” during the second year of his eventual three-peat.
The Palmdale native has shot a career-best 42.8 percent from deep, despite attempting the most shot attempts of his career at 7.6. George had only reached the 40 percent mark during his 2014-15 season, in which he only played six games, recovering from a broken leg injury.
So far, the hot-shooting forward has kept the streak going, shooting 40 percent or more in each month, currently at 46.4 percent, averaging 4.3 made threes per game in his last six outings.
