In advance of his return to Indiana for a game against the Pacers, Paul George is reflecting on several aspects of his exit from the franchise that drafted him nearly a decade ago.
One of the topics he touched on was whether he's found closure in the months after he decided to leave, and according to Fred Katz of the Norman Transcript, he has done just that.
Paul George says he's found closure after leaving Indiana: "At the end of the day, when we reached out to the front office to tell them our plans, our future plans, it was to help them along the way." pic.twitter.com/aZ3nMZqPpv

It's interesting to see all of the things George has said about his trade request to the Pacers and how it all played out. Many Pacers fans were livid when he made the request and was eventually traded to a situation where he would pair with the likes of Carmelo Anthony and Russell Westbrook.
But it seems like even though George's actions disappointed fans, he still wanted to try helping the organization move forward from as quickly as possible so it wouldn't be hurting for too long as a result of his departure. It's a benevolent thought, but it's difficult to know for sure whether or not the Pacers appreciated it.
The organization did end up getting some young talent for their team in Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis, who have both helped the Pacers avoid total suckage this season. It appears George feels he was somewhat responsible for that.
Only time will tell which team came out ahead of that trade, but George looks to have moved on emotionally from the entire situation.
