On Saturday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 148-124. It was a great night for the Thunder as they destroyed the Cavaliers on both ends of the floor. Also, the night was special for Paul George as he released his new signature shoe, PG2.

These sneakers are inspired by the colors of the video game brand, PlayStation. These shoes are also the first NBA basketball shoes to light up. These peculiar shoes express George's affinity with video, and he told PlayStation that sports and video games have always been his favorite hobbies.

When I was 8 or 9, I used to amaze my uncle and all his friends by consistently beating them in all the sports games we'd play. And if I saw something cool while I was playing, I'd go outside and try it out on the court or the field. So in a way, sports and video games were always feeding off one another to me.”
The PG2 debuts for the entire world on February 10. Regardless if the shoe is well received or not, the unique combination of a video game console and a sports shoe will bring the PG2 to the forefront of the NBA sneakers industry.
George scored 36 points in the wake of his debut for his new signature shoe. Hopefully, this shoe carves the way for George to cement himself among the other Nike greats such as LeBron James and Kevin Durant. After his recent performance against James himself, the rise already is happening.
